At Saturday evening 10 o'clock the amniotic fluid broke, but it was only a little bit. I called the hospital and asked about it and the midwife recommended to pass by to check and we drove to the hospital.
The doctor test the water and it was amniotic fluid broke and asked Michelle to stay and said, its the beginning of the childbirth and it is better to stay cause of risk of infection.
At 1 o'clock in the dawn the labour pains started, irregular and adynamic. In the morning hours at Sunday around 5 it get worse and Michelle call me to come back to hospital, the labour will start ...
Me, I jump to the car and arrived at 6 in the morning in the hospital.
The labour pain keeps to be irregular and was more and less painful. So it continued over the day, getting worse and all was waiting for the baby but just slowly the cervix open and slowly the baby moved down.
Michelle gets desperated about it, already 24 hours the labour pain keeps on and between while she was getting medication for artificial labour pains.
The medication was increased but in the Monday morning hours after about 28 hours labour, the labour strength decrease and get more irregular and we want to have a Caesarean cause the baby not moved more down. Michelle was shouting and said bad words to the midwife and the doctor cause she was really tired. The assistant medical director was called in the morning time around 4 and arrived quickly, he check the situation and found the hairs of the baby could be seen already and undertake the control, grab his overall and gloves and said, with the next labour press as much you can to Michelle and he lean with his underarm on the belly and presssss ... the assistant doctor hold the bell jar and was pulling ... After two times the head was out and two times more the shoulders and then - JENNIFER !!
Finally, after 29 hours in the labour, at 5.12 o'clock, Monday 21 May 2007,
Jennifer Althea Beatrice 3480 g and 53 cm, head circumference 35 cm
was born.
We all, especially Michelle was really relieved.
Me, after being up 24 hours and just having slept 3 hours the day before, drove home and fall into the bed.
